Hansaport Hafenbetriebsgesellschaft mbH of Hamburg has invested in three new Komatsu WA600-8E0 loaders for central handling operations at Germany’s largest and most efficient bulk cargo port. These robust and powerful wheel loaders are responsible for handling ore, coal, and construction materials from around the world, as well as loading transshipment facilities for maritime transport. The new machines were sold and delivered by Schlüter für Baumaschinen, Germany’s largest authorized dealer for premium products from Komatsu and Sennebogen.

The redistribution of goods takes place primarily via environmentally friendly modes of transport such as rail and inland waterway vessels.
Komatsu WA600-8E0 – Rugged, Powerful, and Efficient
The new Komatsu WA600-8E0 models replace three older Komatsu wheel loaders from the previous series. The positive experience with the previous models—in terms of proven technology, durability, and operator comfort—combined with Schlüter’s on-site service for construction equipment, was the deciding factor in this new investment.
The harsh working conditions at the port require robust machines that ensure high operational efficiency. With the Komatsu WA600-8E0, Hansaport has chosen the right machines, as these wheel loaders offer a unique combination of stability and high breakout and traction forces. The machines are perfectly suited for any type of material handling, transport, and loading application.
The Komatsu CLSS hydraulic system enables extremely precise control of the machines and smooth, simultaneous movements of the bucket, boom, and hydraulically driven attachments. Both the hydraulic and steering systems of the WA600-8E0 are equipped with variable-displacement pumps. These pumps deliver only the exact amount of hydraulic pressure required, thereby significantly increasing fuel efficiency.
