Sarstedt. In bright sunshine, the GP Papenburg Group takes delivery of a new machine package through Jens Kleinert (Managing Director of GP Maschinentechnik). The company is investing in a total of 55 wheel loaders, bulldozers and crawler excavators including 3D machine control for its own fleet, which will be used in various construction projects. The machines will be supplied by Schlüter für Baumaschinen. Maximilian Schlüter hands over the package to Jens Kleinert and his team from GP Papenburg Maschinentechnik together with the team from the Schlüter branch in Sarstedt. The tracked excavators will be handed over first, followed by wheel loaders and crawler tractors in the coming weeks.
Partnership co-operation between Schlüter for construction machinery and GP Papenburg
The machine package was finalised at Bauma 2022 in Munich. This was based on the partnership that has connected the two construction machinery companies GP Papenburg and Schlüter for many years. For decades, both companies have acted as dealers and service providers for the manufacturer Komatsu. Since then, there has been a respectful business relationship between the two companies. This long-standing successful partnership is one reason why Schlüter was able to take over the former GP Baumaschinen GmbH Halle, now Schlüter Baumaschinen Halle GmbH, and its subsidiary, G-tec Positioning GmbH, from Papenburg on 1 January 2022. Schlüter is thus expanding its branch network to almost 75 % of Germany.
Jens Kleinert: "As the Papenburg Group, we are at home in a wide range of industries throughout Germany. These include the production of raw materials such as sand, gravel and chippings, further processing into building materials such as concrete products, concrete and asphalt, building construction, civil engineering, special civil engineering and traffic route construction, recycling and utilisation. With this variety of applications, it is our daily task to ensure a high level of availability of our machines. As sustainability has long been an integral part of our family-run company's business model, we continuously invest in state-of-the-art technology in order to constantly reduce CO2 emissions. That's why, as Managing Director, I continue to rely on the Komatsu construction machines we are familiar with, which are rounded off perfectly by Schlüter's nationwide service network."
Maximilian Schlüter: "With the 33 Schlüter locations, we now offer a close-knit and comprehensive service network that enables short distances and fast response times. With the expansion, we can now serve nationally active customers even more professionally. Our vision is to be the leading service provider for construction machinery with above-average customer orientation and to be able to represent the symbiosis of generalist and specialist. The handover of this machine package shows that the combination of the nationwide network and Schlüter system utilisation is convincing for supra-regional customers like GP Papenburg."
GP Papenburg Maschinentechnik GmbH: the modern technology service provider within the GP Group
GP Papenburg Maschinentechnik GmbH was founded in 2004 and summarises the entire technology of all construction companies within the GP Group. It also looks after the machines of around 60 affiliated companies in the GP world. Under the leadership of Managing Director Jens Kleinert, a team of 45 employees takes care of all technical matters relating to hire, purchase and sales, service and digital transformation at the headquarters in Hanover and the newly built branch in Halle (Saale). 5,300 pieces of equipment, including 600 construction machines, 40 building construction cranes, 400 construction site containers and 4,000 small appliances are now centrally managed and supported. From now on, this will also include 20 new tracked excavators, 29 new wheel loaders and 6 new bulldozers. The machine package is completed by various control systems for excavators and crawlers.
State-of-the-art technology: GP Papenburg Maschinentechnik GmbH focuses on this as a working environment for its employees. To achieve this, the company is constantly working with the latest technologies to further drive efficiency, digitalisation and sustainability. However, the company has also been a pioneer in the field of digital construction sites in the past, including acting as a partner to Komatsu in the development of Smart Construction. And today, GP is continuing on its path as an innovative company: GPS, machine control and drone technology make the GP Group's construction sites and operating facilities modern and efficient. GP Papenburg Maschinentechnik GmbH also uses telemetry data from Komtrax and an API interface for its fleet management.
Maximilian Schlüter: "The construction industry in Germany is currently experiencing a digital transformation from construction machinery to the digital construction site. Thanks to the innovative orientation of GP Maschinentechnik within the group of companies, GP Papenburg is already well positioned and is thus contributing to digitalisation and sustainability in our country."
Schlüter system utilisation... Our system - your benefit!
Schlüter for construction machinery is also in the midst of the paradigm shift of digitalisation and sustainability and is supporting the German market in the upcoming challenges with a constantly expanding business model. With the Schlüter system utilisation, the family-owned company offers its customers application-specific solutions over the entire service life of the machine in terms of lifecycle management in addition to the ‘yellow metal’.
Schlüter für Baumaschinen, based in Erwitte, is Germany's largest authorised dealer for premium products from Komatsu, Sennebogen, Topcon and attachments from NPK, Genesis, Starmag and Rotobec, with 33 locations and over 1,000 employees. The medium-sized family business sees itself not only as a dealer, but above all as a service provider with first-class customer service. Long-term customer satisfaction is at the centre of Schlüter's approach to construction machinery; individual requirements and wishes are jointly translated into market-oriented services.
Maximilian Schlüter: "Our strength lies in understanding the use of our customers and forecasting the costs per operating hour even before the new investment. Examples of this include ‘pay per use’ concepts over the entire service life of the machine and the process on the construction site."
