Great weather and many visitors: First Schlüter Day in Dresden a complete success!

Dresden. On Saturday, 22 April 2023, Schlüter Baumaschinen Halle GmbH hosted the first Schlüter Day for the Dresden, Cottbus and Zwickau regions. The family-owned company demonstrated its products, services and the value-based approach to construction machinery to its customers on the company premises. A total of almost 700 customers, suppliers, neighbours and employees were welcomed to Dresden.
Schlüter has now been active for construction machinery in the regions around Dresden, Cottbus and Zwickau for just over a year. On 1 January 2022, the construction machinery dealer from Erwitte (North Rhine-Westphalia) took over the former GP Baumaschinen GmbH Halle - now Schlüter Baumaschinen Halle GmbH - and its subsidiary, G-tec Positioning GmbH. Since then, Schlüter has also been offering its well-known service in the regions of northern and eastern Germany as well as Cologne, Koblenz and Trier. By expanding its branch network to 33 locations and almost 1,000 employees, Schlüter für Baumaschinen now offers its customers even shorter distances. The Westphalian company now covers around three quarters of the German market and, as a premium supplier for the brands Komatsu, Sennebogen, Topcon and attachments from NPK, Genesis, Rotobec and Starmag in combination with services such as the digital construction site, rental or customer service, is always close to its customers.

Schlüter Day Dresden: Presentation of the Schlüter brand with all its products and services

The Schlüter Day in Dresden offered the ideal opportunity to present the Schlüter brand with all its products and services in detail to customers from the new areas of Dresden, Cottbus and Zwickau.

Numerous customers, suppliers, neighbours and employees and their families accepted the invitation. At the beginning of the event, managing partner Thomas Schlüter, together with his wife Petra Schlüter, commercial director Torsten Krebs and the branch managers Volker Müller (Dresden), Fred Bannischka (Cottbus) and Ulrich Meier (Zwickau), welcomed all visitors and thanked them for their attendance. He then gave a brief presentation of the Schlüter construction machinery company, including its history and all its products and services. Thomas Schlüter thanked all customers for the trust they had already placed in the company and emphasised how much the family business was looking forward to continuing to work together in the new regions.

After the official welcome, all customers and other guests had the opportunity to explore the Schlüter world for themselves. Almost the entire product range of Komatsu and other suppliers in the field of attachments was presented in an extensive machine exhibition, and the Schlüter services RENT (rental), customer service and digital construction site were also presented with their own information stands.

A special highlight of the Schlüter Day in Dresden was the live demo of the digital construction site on the Schlüter premises. Here, Schlüter products for construction machinery and G-tec were demonstrated live in action:

  • Machine control: 2D, 3D, display and semi-automatic
  • Measurement and positioning
  • Drones: Measurement and mass determination and inspection
  • Software and data analytics

The visitors were fascinated to learn about the different areas of application of the digital construction site: From application consulting, surveying and data preparation to machine control. The experts enthusiastically presented the digital transformation from construction machinery to the digital construction site.

The driver competition, in which customers were able to demonstrate their skills in handling the construction machine, was also very popular. The three best drivers received an award in the form of a trophy. For the little construction machine fans, on the other hand, the children's excavating was a special highlight, where they could obtain an ‘excavator driving licence’. Of course, there were plenty of refreshments and all guests were provided with hot and cold food and drinks.

The Schlüter Day in Dresden was characterised by intensive technical discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. The entire team from the Schlüter branches in Dresden, Cottbus and Zwickau can look back with satisfaction on a successful customer event, which was made possible thanks to close teamwork. The family-run company is already looking forward to all the other exciting tasks and events still to come this year!
