Erwitte. By investing in a Sennebogen 735E with Electric Drive, Hagedorn is expanding its fleet with a high-performance material-handling machine, whilst at the same time relying on Schlüter’s proven consultancy expertise and bespoke system solutions for construction machinery. Following the successful use of several attachments to date, this is the first complete machine that Hagedorn has purchased via Schlüter for Construction Machinery, marking a further milestone in their partnership.
Hagedorn: A leading full-service provider for demolition, recycling and sustainable land development
The Hagedorn Group, headquartered in Gütersloh, is one of the world’s leading providers across the construction industry’s value chain – specialising in demolition, waste disposal, recycling, civil engineering, heavy-haul logistics, site regeneration and digitalisation. Founded in 1997 by Thomas Hagedorn, the Group now employs over 2,300 people and comprises more than 30 companies.
Taking a holistic approach, Hagedorn supports projects from the planning stage through to demolition and on to the processing and recycling of materials. In doing so, the company consistently relies on innovative technologies, sustainable processes and a modern fleet of machinery to deliver cost-effective and environmentally sound solutions from a single source.
Sennebogen 735E Electric Drive: High-performance material-handling machine for ‘pick & carry’ applications
The Sennebogen 735E is originally designed for use in sawmills, where it is responsible for timber handling. Thanks to the specialised design of its equipment, the machine is capable of handling loads of up to 15 tonnes without outriggers and with 360-degree continuous rotation. Despite its 44-tonne operating weight and a reach of 12 metres, the machine remains extremely manoeuvrable thanks to its all-wheel steering.
One of the challenges already mentioned in power station demolition is moving heavy and large components over long distances to the burning sites. This is precisely where the Sennebogen 735E’s special design comes into its own. High load-bearing capacity without outriggers, combined with an electric drive system, make the machine perfect for this specific application!
Bespoke machine solution with a sustainable drive concept
To optimise the machine for demolition work, a retractable cab was fitted instead of a fixed one, to ensure good all-round visibility even during standard material-handling operations. In addition, the pneumatic tyres were replaced with solid rubber tyres, and a magnetic system was also installed to operate a magnetic plate.
The electric drive system is a particular highlight. It has been specially developed for machines that spend a significant amount of time travelling. A generator, working alongside the main hydraulic pump, produces the energy required to power the electric drive motors. This intelligent interaction ensures significantly greater efficiency in day-to-day use: energy consumption can be reduced by up to 30 per cent, which noticeably lowers both operating costs and emissions. At the same time, the machine impresses with its particularly fast, dynamic and precise handling, as well as significantly quieter operation – advantages that really pay off, particularly when working on jobs involving a high proportion of travel.
“With the Sennebogen 735E, we are delivering a machine that can offer advantages and unique selling points even outside its actual sector,” says Julian Siggemann, Product Sales Manager at Schlüter für Baumaschinen. “We are delighted that, together with Hagedorn, we have been able to take the next step in our partnership.”
With this investment, the Hagedorn Group is underlining its commitment to alternative, state-of-the-art and sustainable technology and to further expanding its capabilities in the field of demolition and recycling. At the same time, it demonstrates Schlüter für Baumaschinen’s strength as a reliable partner that goes far beyond simply supplying machinery to deliver bespoke, practical solutions for its customers.
