Schlüter supplies first komatsu power packs for Großtagebau Kamsdorf GmbH
Work in quarries always involves rugged conditions and the heaviest loads. That is why since the beginning of July, two newcomers have been hard at work in the quarry of the company Großtagebau Kamsdorf GmbH. With an operating weight of just under 34 tons and an engine capacity of 518 HP, the two team members are two veritable "heavyweights" and are already well known among the open-cast mining employees in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district.
This refers to the new Komatsu HD405-8E0 dump trucks in which the company has invested for the mining of construction materials. The machines were sold and delivered by Schlüter, Germany's largest authorised dealer for premium products from Komatsu and Sennebogen.
Großtagebau Kamsdorf GmbH, based in the Thuringian district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, is a producer of construction materials, industrial aggregates and fertilisers. The company currently employs 19 people. The medium-sized company emerged from the traditional mining industry and has been mining magnesium fertiliser lime for agriculture and forestry, along with rock building materials for roadway and pathway construction since the early 1960s. The foundation for a secure future was laid in May 1993 by the merger with the Wayss & Freytag Group, one of the largest German construction companies, and the company was changed to a GmbH, a German limited liability company.
