Schlüter and Komatsu
Quality from a single source creates confidence
Experience Komatsu as an innovative complete product line for your applications. All products meet the highest standards for durability that you would expect from a construction machine.
The company history of MF, via Hanomag to Komatsu has led us to this innovative premium product, which is a qualified unit that we can offer to our customers.
Dantotsu is the Japanese term for striving to be the best among the best and the guiding principle of Komatsu. As one of the largest construction equipment manufacturers in the world, the Japanese company Komatsu offers a comprehensive product range for a variety of fields. Take advantage of the versatility, flexibility and sustainability with the combination of Komatsu machines and Schlüter service. Plants in Hanover (Germany), Newcastle (UK) and Este (Italy) are quality locations, each responsible for specific product groups.
The Komatsu plant in Hanover, which has a long history, builds wheel loaders between 54 and 353 HP at its 200,000 m² plant premises and has also been producing 14-22 tonne mobile excavators since 2005. Since 2012, the WA600 wheel loader and dumpers have also been manufactured in state assembly.
Thanks to the European Technology Centre (EUTC), the latest technical standards for Komatsu Hanomag are self-evident. With the test and demo site established in 2009, machines can be put through their paces on location in accordance with Japanese standards.
The English plant in Newcastle produces all crawler excavators from 16 to 80 tons in the standard design, as well as machines which are customised for special applications. As a result, the product portfolio also includes e.g. demolition machines with extended radial arms for optimal range extension. In 1987, the Prince of Wales opened the plant in Newcastle.
Komatsu small and compact machines are built in Este, Italy near Venice. The company success story began in 1963 when Giovanni Bettanin founded F.A.I. S.p.A – Fabbrica Attrezzature Industriali. Based on his experience in the agricultural machinery sector, Bettanin added two fitting elements to the structure of the tractor: first, a slider or loader bucket on the front part of the machine and then an excavator arm at the rear. Thus the first FAI 64SL excavator-loader was created. FAI continuously expands its product range with excavators and compact loaders and has asserted itself on the European market. Today, the plant operates under the name Komatsu.
